Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs

Released statements in response to both the President’s proposed “skinny budget” as well as the expanded FY2026 budget request calling for sustained federal investment in nursing education and workforce programs.

Signed on to a series of letters to Congress and submitted testimony requesting $530 million for Title VIII Programs.

Submitted written testimony to the House and Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (LHHS-ED) requesting at least $530 million for Title VIII Programs.

Signed onto Nursing Community Coalition written testimony for the record to the Senate and to the House LHHS-ED Subcommittees making the same request.

Reconstituting ACIP raises concerns about the future of immunization policy.

Joined with a broad coalition of organizations urging the chairs of  the House and Senate Appropriations Committees to reject the $18 billion in cuts to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) proposed in the President's budget.

Higher education and health care implications of “One Big Beautiful Bill.”

On July 1, the Senate passed the President’s , which now must be reconciled with the House version.

This version includes elimination of the grad plus loan, changes to student aid, changes to annual and aggregate borrowing limits, and policy changes that reduce higher education access and affordability.

Led a healthcare community sign on letter where 大象传媒 was joined by 55 other healthcare education and practice organizations.

Signed onto a letter led by the American Council on Education to Senate leadership expressing concerns about cuts to federal student aid and new taxes on higher education institutions proposed in the Senate budget reconciliation bills.

Sent an Action Alert asking 大象传媒 Advocates to urge their Representative to protect nursing student and workforce priorities in the budget reconciliation bill.
